About Me
I am Günter Obiltschnig, a software engineer with 17 years of experience doing software development and architecture. My main interests are distributed systems, embedded systems, web- and middleware technologies, and any combination thereof. Despite occasional adventures in the Brave New World of Java and .NET, I still like to express my thoughts in C++. I live in the southern part of Austria, but I travel the world whenever possible. I am in the lucky position to work for my own company, Applied Informatics, and I am the founder of the POCO C++ Libraries open source project.
